Blanket Project returns to Delta

By Jessica Sierocki, co-editor-in-chief

UNIVERSITY CENTER – Delta College is partnering with the Child Abuse and Neglect Council for the fifth year to make the Blanket Project another success.

The Blanket Project is a commitment to serving local children who are involved in the CAN Council. The hand-crafted blankets will be given as Christmas gifts to the children so that they can experience the holiday spirit.

Needed donations include two yards of matching fleece fabrics, money or gift cards to craft stores to purchase fleece. Items can be dropped off at A-003, A-010 and S-211. The different departments that make up Delta College are in competition for the amount of donations. When presenting donations, make sure to mention what division you are donating for.

Volunteers will be needed to make the blankets once all of the materials have been collected. Blanket Project Day will be held Friday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in room N-007.
